About

As you already know my name is Vivian Dela Cruz. I was born and raised in Rosario, Pasig City, Philippines, the fourth of five children in a loving, hardworking family. From a young age, my parents instilled in me the values of dedication, compassion, and perseverance—lessons that have stayed with me throughout my life.

After earning my Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, I began my career as an ER paramedic at Pasig General Hospital, one of the busiest hospitals in Metro Manila. For five years, I worked on the front lines of emergency care, where every moment counted and every patient mattered. It was demanding work, but also incredibly fulfilling.

In my late 20s, I moved to the United States to be with the love of my life. My husband and I have now been married for 21 wonderful years. Together, we’ve shared a passion for travel, discovering new cultures, and documenting our adventures through photography—my creative outlet and a way to capture the beauty of the world and the moments that move me.

Even though I live far from where I grew up, my connection to home has never faded. I return to Manila regularly, especially during Holy Week, to reunite with family and participate in our community’s Senakulo, a traditional passion play that has been performed in our neighborhood since 1992. Being part of this yearly tradition is a spiritual anchor for me, and a way to give back to the place and people who shaped me.

My heart carries the memory of my parents every day. My father passed away on July 14, 2018—a painful and life-changing loss. And just recently, on July 15, 2025, my mother followed him. The closeness of those dates—just one day apart, seven years later—is deeply emotional for me. It feels like a quiet sign of their enduring connection, and a reminder of the love and strength they both gave me.

Now, as I move into a new chapter of life, I do so with gratitude, faith, and hope. I am proud of where I came from, thankful for the people and experiences that shaped me, and open to the adventures still ahead—always guided by love, inspired by culture, and grounded in the values I hold close.
